MINDSET SPACE

While our work is rooted in Mathare, our vision extends beyond one community nurturing emerging stars wherever young people need opportunity and care.

Mindset Space

The Mindset Space is the mental health and wellbeing program of Lucille Awistar Foundation.

It was created in response to a simple truth:

Young people carry a lot – stress, pressure, uncertainty, and unanswered questions -often without safe spaces to talk about it.

The Mindset Space exists to change that.

What We Do

Through guided sessions led by trained mental health professionals, The Mindset Space provides:

  • Safe group conversations
  • Mental health awareness and education
  • Emotional resilience and coping skills
  • A supportive environment for reflection and growth

These sessions are designed to be respectful, accessible, and grounded in real-life experiences.

Our Philosophy

We believe mindset shapes outcomes.

When young people are supported to:

  • understand themselves
  • talk openly about challenges
  • develop healthy ways of coping

they are better equipped to learn, grow, and make positive decisions.

The Mindset Space does not rush healing — it creates room for it.

Why It Matters

Why It Matters

Mental wellbeing affects how young people learn, relate, and move through life.

By investing in mindset and mental health, we help young people:

  • Build self-awareness and confidence
  • Reduce isolation and stigma
  • Strengthen emotional resilience
  • Feel supported, not judged

How It Connects to Our Work

The Mindset Space works hand-in-hand with Lucille ICT Hub.

Skills matter.
But mindset sustains growth.

Together, these programs ensure young people are supported both practically and emotionally.

Our Commitment

As Lucille Awistar Foundation grows, The Mindset Space will continue to evolve — responding to the real needs of young people and guided by professional care, trust, and compassion.
